Tamarind Hill

Traditional and contemporary Siamese cuisine, nestled within a historic colonial bungalow atop a lush forested nature reserve.

The mood is welcoming and homely, yet defined by rustic-luxe Asian character and flair. The menu serves traditional and contemporary Siamese cuisine, with chef Wanthana Nikonsaen at the helm.

Chef Wanthana sat with us and explained she has a team of 10 chefs serving the restaurant, guests staying at the adjoining boutique hotel Villa Samadhi, and the many weddings and events that take place at Tamarind Hill.

Start at the romantic bar for a cocktail and then settle in for an evening outside on the verandah. We can highly recommend the Roasted Red Duck Curry and the Soft Shell Crab was a standout!

Tamarind Hill is one of the 10 restaurants featured in Table Tales – a yearly publication with a curated selection of restaurants. Perfect if you’re looking for date night ideas or a trusted resource to experience the culinary side of your city. Bring your book for dinner to get it signed by the chef and to redeem your privileges like a complimentary main course or 20% off set menus.
