One of my favourite hotels in the region. There’s something about arriving at Point Yamu that instantly calms the soul.
Located on a peninsula on the coast of Phuket, the property is quite unique in its cliff top location and its divine 240 degree views. This is a lesser known part of Phuket, far from the crowds of Patong and other built up areas.
Be warned, there is no direct beach access from the property. BUT it is more than made up for with their private island which they run speed boat shuttles to at regular intervals throughout the day. Trust us – its worth it.
Located on a on Naka Yai Island, a 20-40 minute boat ride from the resort the club is like a little slice of private heaven. Featuring 13 private salas, each with its own sitting area, overhead fans, daybed, private bathroom and shower, you can really camp out here for the day. The island also has its own restaurant and beach bar, spa treatment salas, swimming pool, children’s club and a load of watersports. We came here every day while at the resort.
The Point Yamu property on the mainland is over a sprawling area, and there are a range of accomodation options – from basic rooms to 2 bedroom villas. All rooms have beautiful views over the ocean and everything is oversized; making it an easy place to travel with kids in tow. There is an air of silence around the resort though, so while it is an amazing place to bring children you do need to ensure they don’t run wild like at some kiddie resorts (which you will never find us at!)
There are four restaurants across the main property and beach club, and the food is truly a standout. Featuring lots of fresh and organic produce, this is the kind of place you leave feeling well nourished.
Point Yamu by COMO is everything you expect from a COMO property – and more. This is a place we keep coming back to.
