Papi’s Tacos

A new neighbourhood taqueria by the guys behind our fave bar Employees Only. Real deal Mexican - all day tacos and cold margaritas. Yessssssss.

This place is all kinds of hot right now, and getting a seat can be a task. They don’t take bookings so expect to get there early. This cosy taqueria and vibrant mexican eatery from the New Yorker crew behind Employees Only has just opened its doors along bustling Seah Street.

Reflecting the informal street dining culture of Central Mexico, Papi’s Tacos is all about authentic, fuss-free Mexican.

This joint is pumping. Dishing out honest food steeped in tradition, the kitchen is helmed by Head Chef and Partner, Mauricio Espinoza (or Papi, as he’s called around these digs). Espinoza hails from the small town of Papalotla, Mexico and brings his heritage to his kitchen with an array of simple, yet mouthwatering tacos and native dishes.

And because no taqueria is complete without the requisite selection of high-quality tequilas, expect to have your socks knocked off with a straightforward menu of bebidas and refreshing margaritas from the gurus behind the legendary cocktail bar Employees Only.

Papi’s Tacos only takes walk-ins, making it a hot new spot for dinner, happy hour or late night taco!
