National Kitchen by Violet Oon

Housed in the iconic National Gallery, this is a really slick space offering traditional Nyonyan cuisine by one of the grande dames of Singaporean cooking.

Helmed by local Celebrity Chef Violet Oon, National Kitchen is a celebration of Singapore’s colourful and diverse cuisine in a gorgeous formal space that brings together Peranakan heritage, restored colonial decor, and touches of local history.

The menu showcases local and Peranakan dishes made the old-fashioned way, and features a good selection for vegetarians as well. The cocktails are excellent too, and again feature flavours from the region.
