The latest arrival on the chic Martin Road row, this is a refreshing new relaxed dining choice by the PS Cafe Group. Fusion Japanese in a beautiful space bathed in natural light.

If you remember the old Chop Suey tenants that used to occupy this space, you’ll be surprised when you first enter the gorgeous new JYPSY.

The designers have done a fabulous job reinventing the location, which is now bathed in beautiful natural light and fresh almost-nautical decor.

The cuisine is that playful, relaxed type of modern Japanese that’s popping up all over town. Think sake cocktails (loved the sake spritz), seaweed truffle fries, sushi bites and unagi rice bowls.

We were actually really quite impressed by each dish we tried and overall rate this place as a great dining option in the Robertson Quay hood.

Perfect for a lunch date or casual dinner with friends or overseas guests.
