A new standout on the Singapore dining scene. Housed in an old shop-house on Amoy Street, our favourite pocket of Chinatown simmering with hidden cocktail bars and world class teeny restaurants. The restaurant seats around 50 across two levels, including a small bar area. The decor is dark and sleek, reminiscent of some of Sydney’s hottest dining spots.
The chefs head to the market daily for the freshest ingredients, and the dishes are proudly simplistic to best showcase the quality of their ingredients. Since last dining at Blackwattle, we are still salivating over the stracciatella cheese, with dried tomato, kombu and shellfish oil. The fried jerusalem artichokes with sunflower seed miso, and the Black Angus shortrib, were also excellent.
The five set menu here changes regularly; and their three course set menu for business lunches is a solid choice to impress.
Blackwattle has a private dining area upstairs which is perfect for networking evenings of approx 10-12 people.
Foodies, an excellent new destination to add to your list.
